| If you have any foliage in your yard or neighborhood--trim it off and bring it in! Even if it's not pine boughs, real greenery makes all the difference! String it up and across doorways, make a little wreath, put some in a jar/vase, add lights, bells, decorations, or just leave 'em plain. I'm lucky enough to have a tree that hangs over my backyard that has thick bushy leafy branches with red berries all over. And I LOVE your new collection!! | |

| What a fun challenge. Use clear big vases to house ornaments. If you have pine branches they look amazing as filler in both small and large places. For a country look tie fabric strips to strings of lights for garland. | |

Take out scrap booking supplies and make banners to string across mantles or doorways.Put out completed Christmas albums on the coffee table for everyone to see. Also, put silver and gold ornaments in a bowl or vase.easy and pretty. I attended Creative Escape in 2007. I loved your class! I love your new collection as well! |

Hi Rhonna, I am one of your biggest fans! I was thinking of going through my overly large stash of double sided holiday patterned paper to make good old fashioned snowflakes out of with the kids. Hang them on the tree, in the windows, from a chandelier...with all of the gorgeous PPs out there (esp. yours!) it could be breathtaking. |

| SO SO SO SO SO fun to hang out with you on Friday! You are a blast to be around. Okay...ideas for only decorating with stuff that you have - I say...go to your yard. Cut anything that is evergreen and or has berries on it and use that in and around jars and vases. Also cut a bare branch to hang ornaments on. I think I'll take my own advice and do the same this year. | |

| Love doing the paper snowflakes with my boys as well. We've always just used printer paper, so I will have to try the patterned paper thing. Also love to use the patterened paper to make a paper chain counting down the days to Christmas. My son saw a cute little snowman at Target. It was clear (glass or plastic?) with those little styrofoam balls inside (looking like snow), and then the outside was dressed with a hat, scarf, etc. Thought we could definitely make one of those with the goodies we have already. | |

My idea is a little different from what you asked, but I think it still kinda fits. Go through all your stuff and set aside only the things that you absolutely LOVE and simply cannot live without. Be ruthless! Then give the rest to charity or someone who needs a special Christmas. Put up the things you set aside. You will love your decorations (because you only kept the ones you loved) and feel good knowing you de-cluttered your life and lifted someone else's. Then next year, if you do decide to buy something new, you won't feel as guilty. I also loved Sande's idea of bringing some bare branches, evergreens and berries in from outside. My kids are too small and I'd be afraid they would eat the berries But when they are older, I would definitely do it! |

Hi Rhonna, I love love love your pretty things! One year I had very little money and not many Christmas tree decorations. (And 2 darling children to make Christmas special for!) So rounded up from the house all the small teddy bears I could find, all the silver baby cups from both my generation and my children, and all my shiny silver teaspoons and hung them on the tree. It was so pretty! A few years later my then teen daughter continued the tradition by buying pretty gold (looking) teaspoons, hanging them on the tree and making me search for them on the tree Christmas morning. I love your idea for a green Christmas! |

Hi Rhonna: You are sooo...creative you will make any of your Christmas stuff look beautiful. Just bling it up a little. Use your hybrid scrapbook talents to Christmas(ize) glass vases and mirrors, candles and candle holders, etc. Use your baking (I can only imagine how you and your children decorate gingerbread) for decorationsa also. And of course, as already mentioned use the magnificent decorations God provided outside in our forests. This year I am going to keep decor simpler, and spend all the extra time with my family making more memories! Enjoy, and thanks for sharing your talents and inspiration with us!! Blessings from Lisa |

| Not much money available to buy new Christmas decorations. So I used the stuff I have from past years. Also I have my kids draw and paint and cut their master pieces into strips to make paper chain for the mantel and tree. Yeh, I know still too early for the tree but I just have to put up the tree last weekend to bring some cheers into our house. It seems like anything that come from the hands of kids always turn up CUTE! | |

| With a last name like snow, we are big fans of snowflakes around here. You can cut up boxes into snowflake shapes, paint and glitter them and hang them everywhere...windows, light fixtures, doorknobs. The glitter adds a festive glow and it's a super-fun project to get the kids involved in...that way everyone can be glittered. smiles... | |

(don't enter me. just wanted to share cuz my jaw was on the floor when i saw it!) |

| Hi Rhonna, I think it's really fun to take branches and pinecones from the yard and glitter them in various color palettes, then take your decorations and color block them with the pinecones and branches on your mantel, tables etc., so then you have all your little creatures out in beautiful striking colors all over the house...even better if you get the matching color lights to put through it! | |

I take my copper cookie cutters, hang them from fishing line and put them in all my kitchen windows. I have some gigunta snowflake ones from Williams sonoma that I love. (I can't get a decent cookie out of them, but they sure look cute!) For another decoration on the cheap, my dd (12) and I have taken to making the banners featured on 2peas home for the holidays. Not a huge time investment, and gosh knows we have all the holiday paper we need. Happy Holidays. |
